Finally an enterprise SoftPhone has arrived! The NEC Dterm® SP20 SoftPhone turns your PC into a full-featured Internet Telephone.
The NEC SP20 with the USB headset allows you to make and receive calls over a VoIP network using a NEC Dterm Series graphical user interface displayed on your laptop. The NEC Dterm SP20 SoftPhone is an ideal solution for employees who are out of the office frequently traveling on business, workers that work both at home and in the office as well as those who require the interaction of data with their work such as a remote ACD agents.
The SP20 SoftPhone is an excellent add-on to an NEC 2400 IPX and NEC 2000 IPS. It has all the features you’ve grown accustomed to: caller-id, call-waiting, transfer, hold, conferencing, voice mail capability and hundreds of other features which the NEC switch can provide to the telephony terminal. The SP20 is capable of providing the voice quality that you’ve become accustomed to with an NEC Dterm series of terminals.
There is no need to have two telephone numbers in order to be reached, one for when you’re in the office and the other for when you travel. Now you can take your extension with you wherever you go: at home, at the office, at a branch office or anywhere in the world and still be reachable with one number. Connect your computer to a packet network and receive and place calls with the SP20 just like you would if you were in the office. Its great for road warriors who need access to enterprise telephony features while on the road.
The SP20 SoftPhone has three different types of skin displays. Users have their choice of displays, which look just like the Dterm Series E terminals (in either black or white) as a virtual type of phone, or a customizable graphical user interface. No matter which phone you use as your display, features and functions that existed on the Dterm hardware set are transported to the SP20 upon activation.
