IP GATEWAY
The Dterm® IP Gateway is a rack-mountable (or desktop) adjunct solution that connects to the NEAX or Electra Elite in a private enterprise telephone network.
The Dterm IP Gateway's main function is to extend digital Dterm station ports off of the corporate NEAX® or Electra Elite® to users over the LAN or WAN, such as telecommuters or small branch office workers. It makes the translation from TDM to IP and back so traditional TDM-based digital telephone sets may reside in an IP deployment.
The Dterm IP Gateway is designed to work over next-generation networks (i.e. IP, DSL, Cable) as well as over traditional circuit-switched environments (i.e. T1, Frame Relay). It supports Remote Voice Protocol (RVP) and Remote Voice Protocol over Internet Protocol (RVPoIP). The Dterm IP Gateway is available in 8-port, 12-port and 24-port configurations.
The Dterm IP Gateway provides a robust end-to-end IP telephony solution when used in conjunction with any of the following products:
At a telecommuter's home office or over the corporate LAN: Dterm IP Adapter
At a small branch office: Dterm IP Branch
The Dterm IP Gateway offers the ideal solution for large/medium enterprises interested in extending the capabilities of their NEAX or Electra Elite to telecommuters, call center agents and/or branch offices over managed IP networks as well as over traditional environments without the need for a system upgrade to support integrated IP Telephony.
