ACS awarded contract for new Amway Center
The new Amway center opening in the fall of 2010 will be almost three times the size of the current Amway arena and 2nd only in size to the Staples center in Los Angles.From a technology standpoint the Amway Center will be second to none and is being promoted as the most technology advanced arena in the country. ACS has been awarded the contract to install and support the NEC SV8500 in the new Amway Center. The Installation will start over the summer of 2010 to prepare for a October opening.

ACS upgrades fleet of Vans
With Fuel expenses soaring and the size of telephony systems getting smaller ACS has engaged in a contract with Enterprise to replace there current fleet of Chevy cargo vans with the the new brand new Ford Transit Connect. ACS raises money for Make a Wish Foundation

On May 18th ACS held its 6th annual customer appreciation charity golf tournament at the Grand Cypress resort in Orlando, Florida. The event raised $10,000.00 for the Make a Wish Foundation that help make two wishes become a reality for two young people.

ACS and The Orlando Magic have come to an agreement that will have ACS as the official provider of there Telephony equipment. ACS has maintained and upgraded over the last three years the Orlando Magic’s systems at there corporate office at the RDV sportsplex, at the arena and the airport. “We are very happy with the relationship we have with the Magic they are a class organization and the exposure we get with our advertising at the Arena and Sportsplex along with the hospitality we are able to provide to our clients is very valuable to us” says President Steve Battista. ACS sells Ohio operations to Spectrum Networks
CINCINNATI, December 9, 2005 -- Spectrum Networks, Inc. announced today that they have acquired the Tri-State (OH, KY, IN) operations of Advanced Communication Solutions (ACS), one of the nation’s largest authorized NEC dealers. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

ACS is pleased to announce the recent acquisition of TCS Global Inc.
TCS Global Inc., a NEC Authorized agent serving the Atlanta area since 1988. This acquisition allows TCS Global’s 1400 customers to now take advantage of the vast array of services provided by ACS. In addition, ACS will be moving this new regional hub to office space at the NEC facility in Perimeter Center Place. ACS is one of the oldest and largest NEC dealers in the United States.




Relocation of Deerfield Beach corporate headquarters

After months of negotiations with nearby cities, ACS has agreed to stay in Deerfield Beach with the announcement that they would be moving their corporate headquarters to Newport Center at the first of the year. Carlos Baia, Deerfield Beach Economic Development Manager, who was instrumental in keeping ACS in Deerfield said, “We are pleased to keep ACS in the community along with our other high profile technology companies that call Deerfield Beach home.” The new facility will be twice the size of ACS’s current location and will include a state of the art demo room for demonstrating ACS’s technology to prospective customers. A new training facility, a larger call center and warehouse for distribution are also included in the new facility. “The expansion will help accommodate the incredible growth we are having,” stated Keith Parsons, ACS controller.


NEC elects ACS President
In January 2004, Steve Battista founder and president of ACS, will begin to serve a 3 year term on the NEC dealer council. The 10 member board is made up of nine US representatives and one Canadian representative and meets regularly with NEC senior management who acts as the liaison for the NEC dealer network. “I consider it a complement that my peers nominated me for this responsibility to serve them and to provide ACS customers with a direct link to NEC Senior management and engineering.” stated Battista. ACS Opens in Ohio
In December of 2003, ACS opened its 8th office in Cincinnati, Ohio. Dave Sealy, Operations Manager for the North region said, “Cincinnati will turn into a regional hub for ACS as we expand into the Indianapolis, Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Lexington markets over the next 24 months.”

Pro Football Hall of Famer visits with ACS

John Stallworth, former Pittsburgh Steeler wide receiver and recent Pro Football Hall Of Fame inductee, attended an ACS event in Longwood, Florida the evening of January 8th at the Legacy Club at Alaqua Lakes. “John spent time talking with our guests as well as offering autograph and photo sessions” said Dave Kowalchuck, ACS Orlando regional sales director. The following morning Stallworth, (Co-founder and CEO of Madison Research, a successful technology company), shared an inspirational speech at a Breakfast Club of America function attended by executives of some of the most prominent businesses in the Orlando area. Due to the reach of these networking functions and helped by the fact that ACS hosted the cocktail reception at the prestigious Legacy Club, Florida Golf Central Magazine featured the event in their tournament news section.

ACS and Sporting Events Turn Out to be a Hit

ACS has increased its marketing efforts by signing contracts with several sports franchises and sporting events throughout the year. ACS’s marketing director, Fernando Benegas, said, “It seems to be a perfect avenue for ACS to become a more recognizable name in the places in which we do business.” Presently, ACS has advertising that includes a courtside sign under the baskets at the TD Waterhouse Arena, (home of the Orlando Magic), as well a logo at center ice of the Orlando Seals. The newly formed Miami Manatees who play in the Miami Arena also have the ACS logo on center ice. During the Walt Disney World Funai classic, ACS was a corporate sponsor that included a skybox on the 18th green where ACS clients enjoyed a wonderful weekend watching the top PGA players in the world compete. ACS has recently signed an agreement with the Teco Arena in Ft. Myers and is in negotiations with many other sport franchises in Florida and Ohio.

ACS Sponsors Local Golfer in Upcoming PGA Events
In 2004 when the PGA makes its stops in Florida, watch for Orlando resident Brendan Kennedy, who will be representing ACS. Brendan will be wearing the ACS logo on his shirt and bag as he attempts to successfully qualify for the Doral and Honda Classic.

ACS a Finalist for Pinnacle Award for Second Straight Year
ACS has been named as a finalist for The South Florida Business Journal's Pinnacle Award for the second straight year. ACS again will face stiff competition as was the case last year with eventual winner Citrix. ACS was recently named the 6th fastest growing technology company in South Florida which may bode well at the Technology Awards which will be held at The Signature Grand in Davie on August 21, 2003.




ACS holds 2003 Customer Appreciation Golf Tournament
"Incredible weather, fantastic venue, unbelievable awards, what more could you ask for as a way to say thanks to our customers?" stated Vice President Of Sales, Jay Marzullo. Perhaps a winning score in the best ball format would have been nice! This years tournament was the best ever with a record turnout and deep support from ACS sponsors such as NEC, BellSouth, Sprint and Zeacom. It will be difficult to top this event next year but ACS has plans to tie the event to charity in 2004 and make it a win-win situation for the ACS community.





ACS recognized as 2003 Business Of The Year Finalist
The South Florida Business Journal named ACS as a finalist for their vaunted Business Of The Year Award. The award is based on the financial strength of the company as well as contributions to the community and incentives to employees. The awards luncheon was held at Turnberry Isles in Aventura on May 1 and although ACS did not win, several judges mentioned that the voting couldn't have been closer and ultimately the award was given to a company that had been existence much longer than ACS. Added President Steven Battista, "With all the charitable work we plan to do in 2003/2004, perhaps next year ACS will win the award. Either way, we are honored to be considered in the company of so many great organizations."





ACS opens seventh office
In January of 2003, ACS opened a regional sales and service branch in Tampa, Florida. With Jacksonville scheduled to open in April 2003 and Tallahassee later in the year, ACS's nine offices will position it as the premier telephony provider in the state of Florida with branches in every major city. "When we opened our first office in February of 1998, our goal was to be the premier telephony provider in the state followed by our goal of being a southeast regional leader. And, we are right on schedule", stated President Steven Battista in a press release.





Record Year!
At its annual year end party, (this year held at the Ft Lauderdale Marriott), President Steven Battista announced that ACS revenues grew by 60% in 2002 and increased its employee count by 45%. Considering most companies were measuring the degree of their losses and downsizing in 2002, ACS's year becomes all the more impressive.

ACS a finalist for Pinnacle Award
ACS is a finalist in The South Florida Business Journal's Pinnacle Award. ACS is one of six South Florida companies that qualified for the technology award. The Pinnacle award recognizes both public and private companies which have been in business for more than three years. The highly coveted award was announced at a luncheon at The Signature Grand in Davie on August 22nd. Several ACS employees were on hand for the event.





New ACS office
In June 2002, ACS opened a new office in the Ft. Myers market. VP Of Sales Jay Marzullo stated that the west coast of Florida is an untapped market for our products and services and will be a great opportunity to increase marketshare.





ACS holds annual customer appreciation golf tournament
On June 20, 2002, ACS held its annual customer appreciation golf tournament at Deer Creek Country Club in Deerfield Beach, Fl. The premier corporate sponsors of the event were NEC, BELLSOUTH AND SPRINT. Representatives from all three companies as well as ACS employees participated in the event. "The main focus of the afternoon is to enable our current clients and future customers to network and to get a better understanding of the type of company ACS is as well as to just say thanks to our loyal customers" stated VP of Sales Jay Marzullo.





ACS recognized by NEC
At the April 2002 dealer conference, NEC senior management recognized ACS with its Most Innovative sales Award. The award acknowledged ACS continued impressive sales growth. President Steven Battista and Vice President Of Sales Jay Marzullo were on hand to accept the honor.



Central Florida Booming!
In April of 2002, ACS moved and expanded its Orlando regional office to The Maitland Business Park. "Due to the tremendous growth of this office, Orlando has become a regional hub for ACS that will control the Tampa market and future Jacksonville office" stated President Steven Battista.




Shark Attack!
For the second year in a row, ACS has been selected to handle all its telecommunications needs at The Shark Shootout. Greg Norman has been an ACS customer for several years for both his businesses as well as his residence. Two years ago the tournament was moved from California to Florida, ACS became the logical telecommunications choice. Greg Norman employee Gina Montarasi stated that they were pleased with the professionalism and work ethic of ACS and are looking forward to working together again.




ACS expands headquarters
ACS expanded its headquarters in Deerfield Beach in August 2001. The expansion facilitated a larger call center and to accommodate additional personnel generated by healthy sales volumes. Stated Director Of Operations John Burns, "We believe from a facilities management standpoint we are now better suited to support our customers and to be positioned for continued growth".



ACS recognized as NEC Gold Dealer
ACS was recognized by NEC as a Gold Dealer at its annual dealer conference. "We are very grateful for our thousands of customers that have helped us get to this level. Without them this would not be possible and this achievement will be enjoyed by our customers as well based upon deeper discounts we will receive from NEC", stated President Steven Battista.



ACS and Greene Beech forge a relationship
ACS has contracted Greene Beech Advertising for all of its PR and ad campaigns. Greene Beech, a respected Fort Lauderdale firm, is recognized as one of the leaders in promoting communications firms across the country.






ACS Leasing established
In November of 2000, ACS leasing was established in order to provide financial services for its customers. Unlike other voice and data companies who use third party leasing agencies for financing, ACS leasing will provide more economical terms and will simplify the entire process by eliminating the middle man. Director Of Operations John Burns believes that this seamless approach will result in better customer service.





ACS recognized at annual dealer conference

ACS was awarded at NEC's annual conference held in Reno in May of 2000. NEC's Millennium Award recognizes its associate with the greatest increase in PBX sales. ACS president Steven Battista was present to accept the award and stated, "This is a great achievement and a team effort by our staff". The magnitude of the award is highlighted by the fact that over three hundred associates were vying for the honor. ACS grew its PBX business mainly on the strength of the NEAX 2000 IVS2 which is deployed at over 80,000 sites.





Tricom Pictures to take ACS to new levels in multimedia

Tricom Pictures is in the process of developing marketing campaigns for television radio and print. These efforts will reinforce ACS's presence in the communications arena.



ACS acquires Sunrise Telecommunications
In March 1999, ACS and Sunrise finalized an agreement that allowed the acquisition of Sunrise by ACS. Sunrise has been serving South Florida since 1987 and is the oldest NEC associate in South Florida. "After assisting thousands of customers with their telecom needs, we have decided to let ACS take us to the next level", said Scott Stephen, President of Sunrise. ACS is a full service communications provider specializing in telecommunications, voicemail, video conferencing, facsimile, internet access, Sprint LD and BellSouth services.
